Grade 2 February winner Cape Gentleman makes his reappearance in the Guinness Galway Hurdle on Thursday evening for Emmet Mullins.

The former Irish Cesarewitch winner proved a smart recruit to timber when winning at Punchestown on debut back in December.

And despite an underwhelming showing at the Dublin Racing Festival in February, he bounced right back to form later that month in Sunbury-on-Thames under Jonjo O’Neill Jr when back down in trip.

He was most recently seen finishing a creditable fifth in the Ascot Stakes under Rachael Blackmore back in June, and is off an unchanged mark of 140 on his return to the National Hunt sphere.
