Victories for Lankaran and Daneh ensured Jack Mitchell picked up a Kempton Park double on Wednesday evening for the track’s penultimate race meeting of the month.

Roger Varian’s aforementioned sole runner on the card landed the odds at 6/1 to secure a second career success.

Earlier in the card, in-form pilot Mitchell steered Simon & Ed Crisford’s well-backed Daneh to an easy win in the Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes.

Winning-most Kempton rider in 2021, Hollie Doyle claimed another scalp as Noisy Night beat Charlie Appleby’s fancied King’s Guard to go convincingly better than his Nottingham debut, but William Buick wasn’t denied aboard Noble Masquerade for Eve Johnson Houghton later in the evening.
