Afternoon Racing – 20 August

The Afternoon Racing meeting, which will take place on Friday, August 20th, 2021, only two days following the Evening Racing meeting, will have a superb eight-race schedule that includes the likes of The Class 3 Flat Race and The Novice Auction Stakes.

Here’s a rundown of the eight races we’re looking forward to seeing this August at Kempton Park Racecourse:

Class 6 Nursery

The Class 6 Nursery Flat Race is a Class 6 nursery flat race for colts and fillies held annually at Kempton Park Racecourse as the first race of the August Afternoon Racing meeting.

The Class 6 Nursery Flat Race, which is only accessible to colts and fillies aged two years old, is the day’s joint-shortest race, measuring only six furlongs at Kempton Park Racecourse.

At the most recent edition of this popular event, a substantial prize fund of £15,000 was on the line, which was split as follows amongst the winners and runners-up:

The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race is a Class 4 handicap flat race held annually at Kempton Park Racecourse as the final race of the August Afternoon Racing meeting.

The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race, which takes place on Kempton Park Racecourse and is the equal shortest race of the day, is open to horses aged three and up.

Last time around, a share of a handsome £11,200 purse was up for grabs, which was split among the teams of the first four horses to cross the finish line as follows:
