The Novice Stakes (Div 1) Flat Race is the third race that takes place each year during the August Afternoon Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse.

The Afternoon Racing meeting, which takes place at Kempton Park Racecourse towards the end of August every year, offers a thrilling eight-race card, which includes such gems as The Nursery, The Class 3 Handicap Flat Race and two divisions of The Novice Stakes.

Kempton Park Racecourse, the home of the Afternoon Racing, as well as other prestigious meetings such as The September Stakes, Jump Sunday and The Christmas Festival, is positioned just inside Surrey on the border of Greater London, providing easy access for the tens of thousands of horse racing fanatics living in London, Surrey and surrounding areas.

About The Race

The Novice Stakes (Div 1) Flat Race is a Class 5 flat race for novices that serves as the third race of the August Afternoon Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every flat racing season.

Open to horses aged three years old and above, The Novice Stakes (Div 1) Flat Race runs exactly one mile of Kempton Park racecourse and featured ten runners last time out.

A share of a £6,000 prize pool was to contest last time out, which was distributed between the first four finishers as follows:

1st place – 4/1 Albadr (USA) – £3,881

2nd place – 11/10 Loving Glance (GB) – £1,155

3rd place – 25/1 Mr Carpenter (IRE) – £577

4th place – 5/1 Mostawaa (GB) – £289

The Novice Stakes (Div 1) Flat Race will begin at approximately 15:00 on Friday the 20th of August 2021.
