The Class 5 Handicap (Div 1) Flat Race is the sixth race that takes place during the Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every year, and the first of two editions of The Class 5 Handicap Flat Race.

The August Evening Racing meeting presents a spectacular nine-race card every year, which can alter slightly depending on surrounding race days, and features some flat race delights such as The Class 3 Handicap and The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes.

The Class 5 Handicap (Div 1) Flat Race is a Class 5 handicap flat race that serves as the sixth race of Kempton Park’s Evening Racing meeting every summer.

Exclusively open to horses aged just two years old, The Class 5 Handicap (Div 1) Flat Race runs precisely 1 mile of Kempton Park Racecourse and usually features a fairly large field of runners.

A share of a £5,400 purse was up for grabs last time out, which was assigned to the first four finishers in the following manner:

12/1 priced Goodwood Showman finished just three-quarters of a length behind Extra Large in second place, followed by 7/1 priced Directory in third place and equally priced Exeat in fourth.

2017
