About The Race

The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes Flat Race is a Class 5 European Breeders Fund flat race for novices that serves as the fourth race of the August Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every summer.

Exclusively open to horses aged just two years old, The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes Flat Race runs seven furlongs of Kempton Park Racecourse and featured 13 runners last summer.

A share of a £6,400 prize pool was to fight for last time out, which was distributed between the first four horses to pass the final post in the following fashion:

1st place – 6/4 Mostly (GB) – £4,140

2nd place – 15/8 Model Guest (GB) – £1,232

3rd place – 11/2 Ice Eagle (IRE) – £616

4th place – 33/1 Courtesy (GB) – £308

The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes Flat Race will begin at approximately 14:50 on Wednesday the 11th of August 2021.

5/1 priced second-favourite New Angel finished six lengths behind Farzeen in second place, followed by 14/1 priced Midas Girl in third place and 10/1 priced Havana Jane in fourth.

2018

In 2018, The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes Flat Race at Kempton Park Racecourse was split into two seperate divisions. The division 1 edition of the race was won by 5/2 priced race favourite Jumeirah Street, ridden by jockey Jamie Spencer and trained by James Tate.

3/1 priced second-favourite Duchess Of Avon finished three and a quarter lengths behind Jumeirah Street in second place, followed by 33/1 priced outsider Invincible Peace in third place and 10/3 priced third-favourite Shikoba in fourth.

2017

During the August Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse back in 2017, The EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes Flat Race was won by 1/1 priced race favourite First Dance, ridden by jockey Martin Harley and trained by James Tate.

7/2 priced third-favourite Natheer finished three lengths behind First Dance in second place, followed by 3/1 priced second-favourite Counter Spirit in third place and 6/1 priced Amenta in fourth.
