The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race is a Class 4 handicap flat race that serves as the fifth race of the day during the August Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every year.

Open to horses aged four years old and above, The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race is the longest race of the Evening Racing meeting, running 1 mile, 7 furlongs and 218 yards of Kempton Park Racecourse – just shy of 2 miles.

Five runners contested an £11,200 prize pool at the most recent edition of The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race, which was split as follows:

9/2 priced General Zoff finished just a length behind Distant Chimes in second place, followed by 7/1 priced Toshima in third place and 33/1 priced outsider Baydar in fourth.

This edition of the race had just five participants last time out and was won with a race time of 3m 33.68s.

2018

3/1 priced second-favourite Gavlar finished first in The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race at Kempton Park Racecourse in August 2018, ridden by jockey Charles Bishop and trained by William Knight.

9/2 priced third-favourite Velvet Revolution finished just half a length behind Gavlar in second place, followed by 10/1 priced Conkering Hero in third place and 9/4 priced race favourite Imphal in fourth.

The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race was contested by eight runners during the Evening Racing meeting in 2018 and won in a race time of 3m 32.17s.

2017

Ridden by jockey Martin Harley and trained by Marco Botti, 9/1 priced Velvet Revolution finished first in The Class 4 Handicap Flat Race during the August Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse in 2017.

11/2 priced Denmead finished two and a quarter lengths behind Velvet Revolution in second place, followed by 4/1 priced joint race favourite Fleeting Visit in third place and 16/1 priced Whitecliff in fourth.
