The Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Div 2) Flat Race is the fifth race that takes place during the Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every June.

Kempton Park Racecourse, delicately positioned on the outskirts of Surrey against the border of Greater London, hosts dozens of meetings throughout the year thanks to its incredible all-weather Polytrack and floodlighting facilities.

This particular Evening Racing meeting presents an exquisite nine-race card, which includes a variety of age and class-specific races.

The Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Div 2) Flat Race is a Class five flat race for fillies that takes serves as the fifth race of the third June Evening Racing meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse every year.

Open to fillies aged three years old, The Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Div 2) Flat Race runs exactly one mile of Kempton Park Racecourse and features a moderately sized field of runners.

The prize pool last time out was £5,400, which was split as follows between the first four race finishers:

1st place – 8/1 Maurimo (GB) – £3,493

2nd place – 7/2 Sun Tide (GB) – £1,040

7/1 priced Gregorian Girl finished just half a length behind Crystal Casque in second place, followed by 6/1 priced Local History in third place and 11/4 priced race favourite Regal Banner in fourth.

2018

At Kempton Park’s Evening Racing meeting in 2018, only one edition of The Maiden Fillies’ Stakes took place, as opposed to the two separate divisions, which was won by 8/1 priced Vixen, ridden by jockey Edward Greatrex and trained by Eve Johnson Houghton.

15/8 priced race favourite Poyle Charlotte finished a length and a quarter behind Vixen in second place, followed by 15/2 priced Connemera Queen in third place and 12/1 priced Sweet Symphony in fourth.

2017

At Kempton Park’s Evening Racing meeting in 2017, only one edition of The Maiden Fillies’ Stakes took place, as opposed to the two separate divisions, which was won by 10/1 priced Robbie Roo Roo, ridden by jockey Adam Beschizza and trained by Ilka Gansera-Leveque.
