Odds

Thanks to the insanely short price of the race favourite Enable in the most recent edition of The September Stakes Flat Race, odds on some of the other competitors went as high as 200/1 in a six-horse race. These odds were astronomically phenomenal.

The 1/14 race favourite may have won on this occasion, but there was truly every chance of somebody else stealing in, and with the second favourite Prince Of Arran beginning the race with a starting price of 16/1, some serious cash could have been made in this edition of The September Stakes.

Most bookies paid out for two places in this six-horse race and with 33/1 priced Kirstenbosch finishing in that second place position there were some seriously big payouts on the day.
