Flat action returns to Kempton on Friday evening, with a bumper eight-race card on offer for punters at the Surrey course.

The action kicks off in Sunbury-on-Thames with a 7f Nursery Handicap at 4:50 and concludes with a 1m Handicap at 8:30.

Our team have scoured through the card in hope of pinning down some value across the eight contests.

Here are three selections to consider for Friday evening’s action at Kempton.

EMRAAN – 6:00 Kempton (15/2 – bet365)

A gelding that has failed to fire this season, Emraan could spring into life in a 7f Handicap for Ian Williams.

The five-year-old has run on turf this season but he hasn’t been competitive in all five starts.

He has won three of his three starts on the all-weather and he could bounce back here, with his price of 15/2 holding some value.

LHEBAYEB – 7:30 Kempton (12/1 – Various)

A slight punt here but if Lhebayeb’s pedigree is anything to go on, she could well be competitive in the 1m3f Handicap.

The three-year-old has competed over the shorter distances for most of her racing career but she is a half-sister to a C&D winner who went on to stay even further.

The filly has a 5lb claimer in which should help and the step up in trip could be the key to unlocking any potential, with her price of 12/1 looking interesting.

MAKAMBE – 8:30 Kempton (14/1 – Various)

A former C&D winner, Makambe could relish the drop back down in class in a one-mile handicap for Chelsea Banham.

The gelding has slipped back down to his last winning mark and the return to Class 6 company should be beneficial for him.

The six-year-old needs a slight revival here but his price of 14/1 is very enticing if he bounces back to his best here.
