Racing action returns to Kempton on Wednesday evening, with a bumper eight-race card on offer for punters.
The card gets underway at 4:40 with a 1m Handicap and concludes with a 6f Handicap at 8:15.
Our team have scoured through the card, in hope of pinning down some value in Sunbury-on-Thames.
Here are three value selections to consider for Wednesday’s card at Kempton.
PENTIMENTO – 4:40 Kempton (15/2 – William Hill)
Under the guidance of John Best, Pentimento could relish the drop back down in trip in the 1m Handicap.
The gelding ran a cracker over this distance back in July, finishing two lengths behind the winner in second when 1lb higher in the ratings.
The five-year-old could be dangerous in Class 6 company, with his price of 15/2 holding some appeal at this stage.
THEMATIC – 7:45 Kempton (9/1 – William Hill)
Making only his third start for his new connections, Thematic may well prove to be of some value in the 1m4f Handicap.
The five-year-old has made a gradual decline down the weights and now looks at a strikeable mark over this distance.
Sylvester Kirk’s gelding will need to bounce back here, but his price of 9/1 at this level is worth taking a chance on.
MARTINEO – 8:15 Kempton (16/1 – William Hill)
Hailing from John Butler’s yard, Martineo could outrun his odds of 16/1 in the 6f Handicap.
The gelding has slipped down the ratings and has been dropped down in class following a heavy defeat at Wolverhampton back in July.
The six-year-old last success on the all-weather came over this distance and he could well prove to be each-way value in this contest.
