Duel Kempton Park successor My Frankel contends in tomorrow’s Summer Handicap for Sir Michael Stoute at Glorious Goodwood, partnering Ryan Moore once again.

The 4-year-old colt finished third at Haydock Park on his latest appearance, having won at the Surrey course back in April.

That added to his previous success in Sunbury-on-Thames eight months earlier, where he saw off the likes of Dubai Welcome and Brentford Hope – form that has subsequently worked out handsomely.

Saturday rider Moore wrote in his Sporting Life column: “He ran well when third in soft ground over 1m4f at Haydock last time and hopefully the step up to 1m6f for the first time will bring about the improvement needed to get his head in front here.

“It certainly looked a move worth trying after the way he stuck on at Haydock last time.”
