Two of the six Racing League meetings will take place at Lingfield

The teams will make the trip to Doncaster the following week on the 5th August, before heading to Lingfield and Windsor on the 12th and 19th August.

They will return to Lingfield and Newcastle to conclude the competition on the 26th August and 2nd September.

Our team have taken a look through the 12 teams and made their three selections that could be taking the Racing League honours in early September.

NAP – Team ThoroughBid (6/1 – William Hill)

A team that oozes talent throughout the ranks, Team ThoroughBid could well be taking the Racing League title home in seven weeks’ time.

Top flat trainers Richard Hannon and Andrew Balding, who have a combined 168 winners and have landed a combined total of £3.6m in prize money this season, join forces for the first time.

Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy heads the team of riders, with Sean Levey and Hayley Turner featuring alongside him.

With the likes of Tahitian Prince and Fox Premier running for the team, ThoroughBid stands a strong chance of success here.

NEXT BEST – Team Ireland (7/1 – William Hill)

Headed by the two O’Brien sons, Donnacha and Joseph, Team Ireland could be underestimated in this competition.

David Egan and Gavin Ryan will take the rides, alongside promising apprentice jockey Dylan Brown McMonagle.

The O’Brien have experience and talent among their squad of runners and they could well be in the mix come the final day of the Racing League.

LONGSHOT – Team Bullion Vault (14/1 – William Hill)

A team that holds plenty of potential, Team Bullion Vault could be the surprise package in the Racing League this year.

Group 1 winner David Menuisier, dual-code representative Gary Moore, exciting prospect George Boughey and the experienced Amanda Perrett team up to form an intriguing training team.

Perrett’s brother-in-law Jim Crowley heads the trio of jockeys, with Hector Crouch and Pat Cosgrove joining him.

This team has the potential to kick up a few surprises on the way and they are one to watch out for.
