Wokingham Stakes and former Kempton Park victor Rohaan will be given a chance to test his mettle in Group 1 company in the Darley July Cup at Newmarket later this month.

The son of Mayson was rated 55 in December but has jumped a remarkable 61lbs in the weights since joining David Evans.

And he will now enter much deeper waters in Suffolk after his impressive success at Royal Ascot under a superb Shane Kelly ride carrying top-weight.

David Evans confirmed to Sky Sports: “Rohaan is fine, he’s very well. The plan is to supplement for the July Cup, especially if they get a bit of rain, which they might.

“He was unbelievable in the Wokingham with top-weight.

“There’s still more to come from him, I think. He’s the horse of a lifetime, I’m lucky to have him.”
