Recent Sunbury-on-Thames winner Safra will bid to take a step up in class in her stride when she heads to Sandown Park on Thursday in the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Star Stakes.

Simon & Ed Crisford’s filly ran a creditable race at Kempton on debut but reversed the form with Charlie Appleby’s Before Dawn when upped to the seven-furlong trip at the same track next time out.

The form from that contest has already been well boosted with the third going in at Newmarket since and the two-year-old daughter of War Front, a half-sister to Dewhurst and July Cup winner U S Navy Flag, represents the Suffolk yard’s only runner on the card in Esher later this week.

Also holding a pleasant record from her previous outing is John & Thady Gosden’s Inspiral, who saw off a subsequent winner on the Rowley Mile last month in good style.

The Newmarket stronghold additionally saddle Sunstrike who was a bit out of her depth in the Albany at Royal Ascot but won at Kempton prior to that under Oisin Murphy, with Wild Beauty looking to hold claims given the fact she is chasing a hat-trick.

Unbeaten duo Qipao and Allayaali look the best of the rest for the 2:10pm contest.
