There is a bumper nine-race card to sink your teeth into in Sunbury-on-Thames in what is the first of four meeting’s at the track in June.
We’ve scanned through the contests and selected our three value picks of the night that may well be capable of outrunning their odds….
Take a read here.
Suffolk duo Simon & Ed Crisford are operating at a nice 10% so far with plenty of contenders running nice races of late and perhaps their Camelot gelding will be no different.
He ran better than the result suggested on his Leicester debut, of which the form has worked out well, and was possibly unsuited by the soft conditions at Bath on his most recent start.
That said, he’s at a new trip here making his first start on the all-weather and David Egan is jocked up for the first time, so there is surely still plenty of room for improvement and he is nicely weighted given his experience.
Ed Walker’s shrewd yard are in fine fettle of late and interestingly this son of Cable Bay is their only runner on the card on Wednesday evening.
He was virtually tailed off on his Doncaster debut but that has proved to be quite a decent maiden and he ran with much more credit at Newbury next time out.
There are a few here with more potential but he has a nice draw and if continuing to go the right way, he could be capable of making the frame.
A tough one to weigh up, Richard Hannon has had six of his last 11 runners place and his New Approach colt is probably overpriced given the bare form he holds.
The step up to the mile trip at Goodwood didn’t pay dividends but that perhaps came too soon after a career-best at Newbury two weeks earlier.
He’s been given plenty of time to get over that quickfire reappearance and maybe a switch to the all-weather surface with 2lbs leeway from the handicapper can help his chances.
